So we’re clear, it’s “bear with me”, not “bare with me”:
Bear (verb): To have a tolerance for; endure (one of many definitions)
Bare (verb): To make bare; uncover or reveal; to expose
On that note, Happy Mother’s Day!

Yeah…this is 40 years too late. Finally just figured this out a couple weeks ago, inspite of thinking I was pretty knowledgable about grammar…
Ever run into anyone that took you literally?
No way! If they had, I would have learned and never forgotten much sooner! I just kept picturing a “bear” in my head and it didn’t make sense. 🙂
Nice animating!
Thanks Nicole! I’ll take another stab at moving pictures some other time (not soon though; this one took ages)
Doesn’t it? You did an awesome job, though. Everything lined up perfectly. I can never get the mouthing right.
That was awesome. I especially like the thrusting motion on your dancers. Very tasteful.
Sometimes those executives just need to let it all hang out.
Love the tactful editing in the last panel.
Tweaked it so the punchline is the last panel 🙂
Brilliant!
Why thank you!
Great job on the animation! I like how you chose to animate the hip movements.
There’s something kinda unsettling about it, isn’t there?
Once, working in a call centre, I asked a customer to “Bear with me”. He replied “There’s a bear with you? Isn’t that rather dangerous? Mind you, it would explain the large pause.” …wait while the penny drops on the second pun…
Oh, man. I’ll bet he’s still regaling people at dinners with that “hilarious” anecdote.
oooh i just thought of one i always get wrong – brooch vs broach
Ah! Interesting. I’ll see if I can work that into a comic
I wish i had one with nudity in it. Maybe you can work it in there
Wow. That looks like every staff meeting I’ve ever attended. The last frame in particular.
I’ll take that staff meeting over a boring one any day.
Please hire me?
Haha, amazing! Good job on the animation, I know it takes ages to do!
Frustrating, too! Thanks Rae 🙂
This is tremendously awesome. I love it.
I am a big fan of Joy Cannon. Keep ’em coming!
Ah that last animation is so funny!! I also loved the sly smile. Brilliant as always 🙂
I love your comics! I love that you make grammar comics! This is fantastic. I nominated you for The Sunshine Award here: http://reheatedcoffee.wordpress.com/awards/.
Why, thank you very much! I’m glad you enjoy my comics, and keep up the good work on your blog! 🙂
I won’t bare it any longer – my wife would get upset.
So nicely done, BD!
You did not! Awesome… and quite entertaining. You can have a bit of fun with the many definitions of the word “draw” being that they are quite varied. But I always enjoy your comics (even when I’m late to the party).
This is a classic! Well done!
Mehehe, stick figures gyrating in a board meeting 🙂 Love it!
Hello. You’ve been award an award. I’m not sure what award but i was awarded now i’m passing it on.
